The Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP Website (collectively “Hinman” or “”) is provided to support Hinman’s full service law firm counseling individuals, companies, not-for-profits and public sector entities in a wide spectrum of practice areas. Use of this site for any purposes other than that for which it is intended is unauthorized and prohibited.

COPPA Compliance

The information and services described on are not intended for children under the age of 16. Hinman does not knowingly collect any information from children. By using our website, you certify you are over the age of 16.  If we learn that we have collected or received personally identifiable information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.


Hinman provides a secure server to protect your information from being viewed by an outside user.  The technology transmits and receives scrambled data, which is decoded on the server side.  It is our intent to keep any personal information you provide us (such as name, postal address, employment information, telephone number, or e-mail address), confidential, unless we are required by law to divulge it. Hinman does not use interactive features at this time and while would always strive to protect users’ personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online through interactive features such as forums, message boards, chat rooms, or similar services that are specifically designed to be visible to other users.  You should be aware that any personally identifiable information you choose to submit via those media can be read, collected, and used by other participants and could be used to send you unsolicited messages.  We are not responsible for the personally identifiable information you choose to submit when you engage in such activities.

Hinman may also use social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram (“social media platforms” or “platforms”) to keep connected with clients and the community. Hinman utilizes features and tools, from these social media platforms including pixel tags/ social media tags added to, that allow data about actions of visitors to be sent to these platforms to track conversions and to allow Hinman to create custom audiences for the courses/presentations or services Hinman may advertise on the various platforms. We may also provide the social media platforms such as Facebook with other data we have collected about you for this purpose, using these tools allow data such as email addresses and phone numbers to be locally hashed on our system before we upload and pass such data to these social media platforms.  The use of such data is governed by the individual social media platforms’ Data Use Policy.  Please see your individual social media application privacy settings for any additional information.

The site, blog posts, newsletter publications, client alerts, e-mails and other communications may contain links to sites owned or operated by parties other than Hinman.  Hinman does not control outside sites and is not responsible for their content, security and confidentiality.  Inclusion of links to an outside site does not imply any endorsement of the material on the site or, unless expressly stated otherwise, any sponsorship, affiliation, or association with its owner, operator, or sponsor.

Email Marketing

Hinman may periodically send you relevant alerts and newsletters by email.
