Garrett Lyons is a special counsel in Hinman, Howard & Kattell’s Binghamton office. Garrett is a member of the litigation practice group.

Prior to joining Hinman, Howard & Kattell, Garrett focused his practice on federal and state employment law with experience handling EEOC, MSPB and OSC matters as well as criminal defense and general litigation. Garrett was also an assistant district attorney in Broome County for more than 5 years handled a wide variety of criminal matters ranging from traffic tickets through felonies.

Garrett is a Western New York native and worked for general practice firms in Kenmore and Olean, New York handling a wide array of legal issues prior to moving to Binghamton.

Garrett is a graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law where he was active in moot court competitions and international law events. Before law school, Garrett graduated from St. Bonaventure University where he earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.
